Jessie Riddle

Jessie Riddle studied English at BYU and is currently a PhD candidate in Folklore at Indiana University. She grew up in Utah but has also lived in Illinois and Indiana, and for a few months in Argentina and Chile. She loves to learn about traditions and beliefs of all kinds, but right now her focus is on Mexican American shrines and celebrations for the Virgin of Guadalupe.
Jessie's favorite books growing up were the Anne of Green Gables series and D'aulaire's Greek Mythology, and her favorite TV show was Wishbone. She firmly believes in the magic power of stories for people (or dogs) all ages. She lives with her husband Eric and her dog Blueberry in Bountiful, Utah.
